Congratulation Message To A Pregnant Woman

The qualitative analysis of the data in the thesis through software: Atlas Ti. Disclaimer

One of the key moments of any dissertation is the analysis of the data have been collected during the fieldwork stage is often done with the support of computer programs, with all the advantages and challenges that This can lead to especially in a qualitative study, and in my case I opted for supporting me do the Atlas Ti software .
The object of study of my thesis is the relationship that the university has with society, from the perspective of social responsibility of the institutions of higher education under its institutional work, through a dialogical view of the meaning and symbolic that stakeholders in the university activities attributed to this relationship, generated from the speeches on their experience of relationship with the university.
Thus, to analyze the speeches of the stakeholders obtained through semi-structured interviews Atlas Ti software emerges as a particularly interesting tool for qualitative analysis textual data, even if the software can also work with image files or sound be possible to integrate all these formats in a single project or Hermeneutic Unit.
One of the reasons why I decided to use this software is related to my interest in building the concept social responsibility of the university from the speeches prepared stakeholders therefore support or substantiate the identification of categories of analysis from textual data provided by the respondents themselves, without neglecting or inhibit researcher's creativity through the use of Atlas Ti.
In this way, the Atlas Ti follows the methodology developed by the Grounded Theory and Grounded Theory data developed in 1967 by Glaser and Strauss, posing as the main stages in the development of the analysis of texts: ( 1) microanalysis of texts to identify citations or incidents; (2) the encoding of information, (3) Definition and identification of categories, (4) developing networks of relationships between the categories, codes, families, etc., And finally (5) Structure of the findings obtained from the texts analyzed.
Overall, the software is quite useful and in addition to implementing computerized approaches grounded theory appears to be relatively close to the technique of content analysis , it does require some patience and time to become familiar with all tools and utilities it has a better way to strengthen the analysis providing the texts, notwithstanding the interpretations and the development of theory from data is something that certainly has to provide the researcher, despite making it advisable to use this tool.
