The Best Way To Get Rid Of A Verruca Ca

FAO establish THIRD OF FOODS THAT ARE PRODUCED EACH YEAR IN THE WORLD are missed or wasted

romn, Italy (EFE) .- According to the Organizationfor and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), about a third of the food produced each year worldwide for human consumption, some 1,300 million tons, lost or wasted.
FAO reveals in a statement released Wednesday, which is entitled "Global food waste and food-losses" (losses and wastage of food in the world), is the result of a commission by the United Nations agency to the Institute Swedish Food and Biotechnology (SIK).
The study distinguishes between food losses (which may occur in the stages of production, harvesting, post harvest and processing) and waste of such a problem this in industrialized countries, caused in most cases for both retailers and consumers who throw food into the garbage food conditions.
According to the study, the industrialized countries and developing ones "squandered" more or less the same amount of food: 670 and 630 million tons, respectively, each year.
The annual food waste into rich countries by consumers, 222 million tonnes, is very close to the net food production sub-Saharan Africa (230 million tons).
fruits and vegetables and roots and tubers, are foods with a higher rate of wastage and the amount of food that is lost or wasted every year is equivalent to over half the world grain harvest (2,300 million tons in 2009-2010).
"The total food production 'per capita' for human consumption is around 900 kg per year in rich countries, nearly double compared to the 460 kg produced in the poorest regions," FAO said in the note.
"In developing countries 40 percent of the losses occurring in the post-harvest and processing stages, whereas in industrialized countries more than 40 percent of the losses is at the level of retail and consumer" he adds.
