CERC, Elías Piña .- First Lady Dr. Margarita Cedeño de Fernández, today opened two new Community Technology Centers in El Cercado and Matayaya, with which there are eight centers in the province handed South, which allow their munícipes boost their dreams, improve their skills and motivated to initiate new productive and educational activities.
The main event was held in El Cercado, province of San Juan de la Maguana, where Dr. Margarita Cedeno de Fernandez urged area residents to seize the opportunity to enter the world of information technology and communication well prepared to compete in the twenty-first century is the century knowledge and information.
"You are experts in sowing seeds of progress and hope that this seed of information technology and education that we are leaving the do occur, flourish and expand throughout the country," stated the First Lady of the Republic.
In Matayaya, Hector Castillo, coordinator of the CTC Management Council, said he is committed to running a job with transparency and dignity, so that both Dr Cedeño de Fernández and residents in the community feel proud and be integrated activities to be carried out in the middle.
In both provinces, First Lady performed the ribbon cutting and swore members of the Management Council, who pledged to nurture and harness the tools offered by the center.
With these two new centers join 74 CTCs installed by the First Lady throughout the national territory with the aim that the Dominicans have access to the infinite world of knowledge through the Internet, the most explicit way to communicate with the rest the country and the world.
These spaces allow residents of the poorest and most remote communities in the country to leverage major advancements taking place in the world and the advantages of Information Technology and Communication to access a more personalized education, training continuum, in addition to training required to achieve a more productive employment and improve their living conditions.
In the ceremony of the CTC of El Cercado, words of thanks were given by the young Masiel Lorenzo, a student's room at the Lyceum Media Technical Juan Gonzalez, who thanked the First Lady to build the center, on behalf community and youth residing in the area.
